Caregiver Burnout &
Wellness Self-Assessment

Caregiver burnout doesn't happen overnight. It builds gradually through months and years of sustained physical, emotional, and financial strain — often so slowly that caregivers don't recognize it until they reach a breaking point. This confidential, evidence-based screening tool helps you assess your current stress level and identify early warning signs before they become a crisis.

About This Assessment

Our Caregiver Wellness Self-Assessment is adapted from two of the most widely validated instruments in caregiver research: the Zarit Burden Interview (ZBI), developed by Dr. Steven Zarit at Penn State University, and the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI), the gold standard for measuring occupational and personal burnout dimensions.

The five screening questions below evaluate five critical domains of caregiver well-being: caregiving intensity (hours and complexity), sleep quality, social support networks, emotional resilience, and physical health impact. Your responses are scored using a weighted algorithm that produces a risk stratification from Low to Critical, along with tailored program recommendations.

Important: This tool is designed for educational and self-reflection purposes. It is not a clinical diagnosis or a substitute for professional medical or psychological evaluation. If your results indicate high or critical risk, we strongly encourage you to contact our team for a comprehensive intake assessment at no charge.
